"Living Water"
Acrylic on Canvas
Katelynn Tiso-Martin |
Katelynn Ann Tiso was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. She started painting during her senior year of high school while she was living in St. Louis, Missouri. To her surprise it became her passion. Today Katelynn is twenty years old and has been painting ever since her senior year.
She has been living in Chillicothe, Ohio for three years. Since living in Chillicothe, Katelynn’s love of God and Jesus Christ has become very strong. Her love for God, and how he speaks through her, is what inspires most of her artwork. Katelynn believes that when she paints rest of the world can take something from it, maybe some peace, freedom, or inspiration for life. She feels at peace when she paints, and she honestly feels closer to God every time she paints.
“I absolutely love doing personal prophetic paintings for people. Prophetic simply means a Spirit inspired painting, but I also paint specified pictures. Abstract painting is my strong suit; however I am trying to become more skilled in painting still life paintings. I am always looking to network with people. Please check out some of my stuff! You can check it out at the Pump House, or look it up on Facebook”
“I did this painting during worship at my church, Freedom House on a Monday night during Burn 24/7. I really didn’t have a name for this painting right away, which is very frustrating for me as an artist. I usually have a whole meaning, or story behind a painting that comes from my heart. This is probably the first painting I “felt.” About a month after I had painted this painting, during a dance practice at my church is when “Living Water” received its name. A little girl who was watching her grandma at dance practice was continuously interrupting saying “Grandma, Grandma” and was pointing to the back of the church. Finally she responded and asked her what she wanted. This three year old child, with her thumb in her mouth, and red curly hair said “I want to touch the Living Water”, and they proceeded to the back of the church. When I was told about it I almost cried, because for a child to speak of the Living Water of Christ like that absolutely melted my heart. I believe that little girl is full of Living Water, and why wouldn't living water look like a rainbow? It’s water that’s ALIVE!”
